Dr. Christopher Dallimore is employed at the AWA Foreign Trade Academy GmbH and is Senior Researcher at the Department of Customs and Excise at Münster University. He is Head of Studies for the Master of Customs Administration (MCA) which is offered in conjunction with the AWA and is currently developing a customs distance-learning course in English.

In addition, Chris is a sub-editor of the World Customs Journal and also works as a freelance lecturer for the Fachsspezifische Fremdsprachenausbildung at Münster University, a translator of legal texts and a rapporteur for the European Commission and other trade-related organisations. He has also contributed to the AW-Prax and other publications. His main areas of interest are the legal aspects of supply chain security measures, trade policy measures in international trade and professional development in customs.

Chris holds an LLB Joint Honours Degree in Law and German from the University of Wales, Cardiff, UK, a Magister Legum in European law from the University of Trier, Germany and a doctorate from Münster University. His doctoral thesis dealt with the question of whether the Container Security Initiative complies with WTO law and was awarded the grade “cum laude”.
